I had my first appointment at Aspen Dental in Bangor with Dr.Yoo and it was an excellent experience from start to finish Doctor Yoo and his entire staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating throughout my visit. Dr. Yoo took the time to listen to my concerns about my teeth and after a thorough examination, we were in complete agreement about what was going on and what the best treatment moving forward I appreciated that he involved me in the decision process making sure the plan worked for my needs. I highly recommend Aspen Dental and Bangor to anyone looking for professional, compassionate, dental care.

For someone who hasn’t seen a dentist in a long time I was very pleased to be met with friendly staff and a breakdown of my dental health. The options of payment and affordability were also wonderful to experience as they gave me the overall pricing of what I would need to have better dental health with various options of payment. Everyone took the opportunity to introduce themselves and explain their process. Overall, I will continue my dental health management with them. ☺️

Very bad. I went in for tooth pain and general cleaning. The kid doing my x-ray just zipped through as fast as he could. The xray machine head was still moving when he took the pictures. The dentist couldn’t have been 25 years old. God bless him, but he couldn’t give me a solid answer as to if I need a root canal or have it pulled. He started doing my cleaning and stopped after a minute and said he wanted to reschedule the cleaning. He was nervous the whole time. I think he was just fresh out of school, but he sure as hell wasn’t ready to do a root canal on me any time in the near future. I walked out without scheduling a new date for the cleaning. If im going to be a patient someone is trained on, I’ll go to the university for that.

I needed a tooth pulled and some other extensive work done! My mouth actually was not very pretty too look at but they got me right in and treated me with the utmost respect! Even though I was embarrassed about the way my mouth looked, I never once felt like there was any judgment. They were very kind, caring, and professional! I would recommend them to any one. They are all phenomenal, from dental techs to doctors to office staff! Thank you too each and every one of them!

I was pleasantly surprised that Aspen dental on Stillwater Ave in Bangor Maine could get me in same day for service. All I needed was a cleaning. When I got there, they immediately took x-rays in one room then sat me in an Alexa’s room to meet the dentist who reviewed the x-rays then they sent the hygienist in to recommend the type of cleaning I should get. After an exam of my gums and teeth she found A couple spots on my gums that were precursor to periodontal disease which she told me 50% or more of Americans have. She suggested I have a deep cleaning done to which I asked “Does Insurance cover that” she said she didn’t know anything about insurance, I would have to ask the people out front. I then get sent to a lounge to wait for someone to come and get me and discuss the cost of said cleaning . When I sat down, they explained that they had to do these procedures in two separate visits or Insurance wouldn’t pay for it. The gentleman then proceeded to tell me that it would cost me $266 on top of what my insurance would pay to have this deep cleaning. I immediately states that I did not want to do that, I just wanted a regular cleaning. He quickly told me that they could not go back on their recommendation or they would lose their license. I told him then I would have to find somebody else. And quickly got up and left feeling like I nearly missed being scammed. It was scary to me because when I walked in, there were a ton of elderly patients there who probably get pressured into accepting this scam. Not a very ethical way to do business. Now I worry whether I will even be able to have a cleaning elsewhere since I am sure they billed my insurance for everything they did that day.
