I've been to 2 different dental facilities since the beginning of April. I need all my teeth on the top pulled, plus, I'm suffering with tooth pain. I was given the run around for two months. Absolutely nothing has been done treatment wise. Went to Aspen. Omgosh...My first visit, full xrays, impressions and a clear, concise plan was discussed My teeth will be done on my second visit in a few days. One office does it all. The staff is great. They're friendly, knowledgeable and make you comfortable. I can't wait for my next apt..

Great experience! I've had difficulty finding local dental care post retirement. Even when offices advertise they accept insurances, when I would call to make an appointment, it was a different story. Aspen dental has a very affordable savings program that reduces costs considerably. Be cautious when reading reviews prior to your visit. Human nature is to post negative comments. And, the review may not reflect your local office. It was very clear the staff at Horseheads Aspen Dental are taking care to provide a positive experience for their patients. Now let's mention the staff. Both on the phone and in person, every interaction was pleasant. I had trouble finding their office so I called enroute and the receptionist happily stayed on the phone until I parked. One thought may be to explain where the office is located prior to the initial visit. I didn't get the receptionist's name. She had long dark hair. Robin and Heather did my xrays. Both were very sweet and worked well together. Heather is newer and took great care on obtaining my images with the guidance of Robin. Lauren did my exam and explained everything clearly. She was very professional even taking time to explain what she was doing as she charted. Dr. Kar also was very professional and kind. And, finally McKenzie did a great job explaining next steps in my care and making sure my next appointment fit my needs. So, take those negative comments with a grain of salt! Spend 39 dollars for your initial visit and let the staff make their own impression! Good job Aspen Dental in Horseheads👏👏

I had to switch dentists due to insurance reasons. My first visit was in January and the receptionists/staff were originally very nice a helpful. they told me I had 4 impacted wisdom teeth and I needed surgery. I went over the costs and it would’ve ended up being $1200 after insurance and they needed $600 up front to schedule it. I am a stay at home mom and needed to talk this over with my husband before scheduling it. The doctor only comes in once a month, so when I called to schedule in February, he wasn’t available the only day he came in. Another month goes by and I call again to see if anything had changed with the price since my family had met our deductible. They said no but they could send out a letter to my insurance company to see if they would be willing to cover more. That was March 30th, mid April I still hadn’t heard anything back. They said they definitely sent the letter out.
It’s now May and I still haven’t heard anything a month and half later. I called a different dentist and they need a referral letter. I called Aspen to see if they could write me one up and they said yes. 2 days later it’s still not in my email. I call back and the receptionist says there’s no notes on my account at all to write one up. So I’m willing to bet they never sent out my insurance letter either.
It’s been 4 months of waiting and I’m over it.

My visit with Dr Sam and all the staff at Aspen dental has been absolutely amazing. I have been putting off going to the dentist as I knew I had a number of issues and was feeling a little embarrassed. They all made me feel extremely comfortable and worked with me on putting together a plan of action that allowed me to address all the issues. Today I feel so much better with no pain and feeling confident to smile with a new and brighter smile. Thank you 🙏

Absolutely unacceptable experience at Aspen Dental. My best friend came here in excruciating pain, crying almost nonstop because she needed a tooth pulled. Instead of helping her, they made her wait over an hour while she suffered. She finally saw the doctor and guess what they didn’t do anything except give her antibiotics and some strong ibuprofen. They told her since she has wisdom teeth coming in that they would need to schedule her to have them removed. With the doctor that only comes in once a month. They wanted her to be in agonizing pain for god knows how long and schedule with that doctor. You’d think that they would have compassion since she was visibly in horrible pain and they didn’t care in the slightest. She told them she needed the broken tooth pulled that isn’t a wisdom tooth and they would do that for her but not until today. She had to wait 3 damn days. She can’t eat anything but again clearly they don’t care.
She came back today to get the tooth pulled and once again was left waiting almost an hour. During the process, they numbed it broke the tooth to remove it causing her more pain. Then surprise surprise the tool they need is “currently in use”. meanwhile she’s been sitting there in absolute misery, and this place couldn’t care less.
Aspen dental is disorganized, careless, and completely lacking in empathy. If you value your time, your health, or being treated like a human being in pain, DO NOT GO HERE.
You should be ashamed of how you treat patients. What if it were you or a loved one. Absolutely ridiculous.
Avoid at all costs.
