Nobody enjoys the daunting “what ifs” when going to the dentist, much less going through any procedure. But I am glad my services were done by Dr. Fluckiger at AZ Maxx. I was suffering from a broken wisdom tooth and hypodontia to one side where it was recommended I get an implant done. As a cash pay patient, they were able to work with me on cost and I even got a bit of a credit back towards my second procedure due to unnecessary services for my situation. I first had a bone graft done to stabilize the implant area and no matter how many times I wanted to follow up with the doctor because I wasn’t sure it was healing right, they never made me feel stupid or ashamed and assured me everything was healing properly. I had my implant procedure this past Friday and had virtually no swelling or pain the next day. They even sent me a bouquet of flowers this morning to wish me well. You just don’t get that kind of service these days. From beginning to end, my experience here was fantastic.

Just wanted to let everyone know what a great experience I had at AZ Max from Michelle the patient coordinator setting up the pre-op consultation to the actual surgery. Dr. Fluckiger and his assistant made me feel at ease during the whole procedure, and now days, how rare is it for a doctor to personally check on you! We are lucky to have professionals on the mountain like this thank you so much.

Beware before you show up!!
I drove an hour and a half to see this dental office that I got referred to. When I showed up they wanted me to have an X-ray for over $100 and I declined and said let’s just see what the doctor has to say as I am unclear as to why I am being referred here. My dentist office assistant said we really strongly recommend you see this doctor and quickly ushered me back to the waiting room. This next dental office orthodontist assistant said we don’t do this kind of work. and they referred me to the oral surgeon’s in the next office. I was unclear as to why I was being referred to this doctor. Well I then drive to see this group and they tell me that they can’t help me as they don’t do this kind of work. They then have the nerve to charge me $98.00. All for nothing - I’m done with these doctors!!

So impressed with our experience with Dr. Flukinger and AZ Max staff. My son didn't swell up. He followed the guidelines outlined by his doctor and he healed up so quick and not a whole lot of pain. Best experience we have had with wisdom teeth extraction.

We had a great experience with the entire staff at AZ Max. Everyone is so friendly and Dr. Fluckiger did a wonderful job! Thank you Sean for answering all my questions! My son had minimal pain after his wisdom teeth removal and we are so glad we did the guided tissue regeneration. I think that helped greatly with his recovery.

He graduated summa cum laude from Midwestern University Arizona College of Dental Medicine, where he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society, and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Yale New Haven Hospital and Yale School of Medicine. His services include dental implants, All-on-4, full arch restorations, wisdom teeth removal, extractions, bone grafting, jaw surgery, and sedation and anesthesia. Dr. Boyse is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who graduated from the University of the Pacific dental school and completed his surgical training at the University of Rochester. His primary focus is dental implant placement, particularly full-arch treatment such as All-on-4 and hybrid dentures, and he is a co-developer of the Chrome Guided Smile process and teaches surgical techniques to dental professionals internationally.
