I had a wonderful experience at Carpenter Dental. The entire team was kind, patient, and made me feel comfortable throughout my deep cleaning. They explained each step before they did anything, which really helped me feel at ease. I especially appreciated being able to wear headphones and watch the Food Network during my appointment—it made the time go by quickly! I highly recommend Carpenter Dental to anyone looking for compassionate, professional dental care.

Carpenter Dental gets a 5 Star from me. I had a dental emergency while on the road and they got me in the next day. They took care of my problem and I’m back on the road. Thank You Dr. Solano, Courtney and everyone that made my visit great. If I lived in Rapid City they would surely be my go to Dentist.

I highly recommend! I moved to Rapid City recently and am so glad I picked Carpenter Dental. This isn’t the first time I moved to a new city and had to find new providers, but this is the first time I had a warm thorough new patient dental appointment since I was a kid. I felt well informed and taken care of leaving my appointment. It felt like I was more than just a number, which is impressive considering how many treatment rooms they have and patients they can see in a day. Thank you Dr. Thorsen, Alyssa, and Hanah!!!

I’ve been with Carpenter Dental for routine dental care for several years now. Betsy is a favorite! Recently I had some fairly complex restoration work done and I could not be happier with the results. Dr. Carpenter’s experience, the team’s high level of professionalism, attention to detail and follow up were all excellent. A year later and very, very happy with their work. Highly recommend this practice!

I had my first visit today and it was wonderful! Kristen answered all my questions, while taking great care of me from start to finish. Alexis did an amazing, meticulous job on my cleaning. Dr. Rieman was kind, informative and she truly listened to my needs, while coming up with a good plan for me.

The practice provides a complete range of services for patients of all ages, from routine cleanings, cavity fillings, root canals, and wisdom tooth extractions to full and partial dentures, gum disease treatment, oral surgery, sedation dentistry, and emergency dentistry. Meet the Doctors

He has served as president of the Black Hills District Dental Society, was named South Dakota Young Dentist of the Year in 2014, and spends at least 20 days each year in continuing education courses around the country, which supports the practice's work on complex and reconstructive cases. He also performs charity dental work through the St. Francis Dental Mission and the Open Wide Foundation in Guatemala.
