I couldn't be happier with my results from Dr. Reece. Going into treatment, I was extremely nervous because of significant dental anxiety stemming from childhood experiences. The thought of seeing a new doctor was honestly terrifying, and I put off making the appointment longer than I should have because of those fears.
From my very first visit, Dr. Reece ( and his assistants) completely understood my case and worked on easing those concerns for me. He took the time to listen, never rushed me, and always treated my concerns with patience and understanding. He explained everything clearly, answered my questions, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process.
Dr. Reece is truly an expert in his field, and his attention to detail and commitment to excellent results are evident in every aspect of his work. Not only am I thrilled with the outcome of my treatment, but I'm also grateful for the trust and confidence he helped me build along the way.
For anyone who struggles with dental anxiety or feels nervous about seeing a new orthodontist, I can't recommend Dr. Reece highly enough. His skill, compassion, and professionalism made all the difference, and I am incredibly thankful for his hard work and dedication.

After an emergency situation, I called this dentist’s office BECAUSE they have/ or / they have allowed their office to be listed Per Google as “open on Sundays 24 hours a day.”
When I explained of my emergency to the on-call attendant, I was told that I was completely out of luck. It did not matter if they were open on Sunday’s or not because they only see THEIR patients for er visits.
I cannot say for sure, but I would be willing to bet if I were to call them on a Monday. They would also inform me that they are not taking new patients. Shocking!
So because of this blatant attempt to advertise their practice without practicing. I’m reviewing them as one star.
The individual on the telephone had zero regard for my emergency because I did not belong to them.
And while this seems to be the typical practice of most areas of medical practice these days…
Call me old-school, but I think it’s pitiful. I think it is an overwhelming societal failure on America’s part, Colorado’s part, Grand Junction part & Doctor Stephen’s.

Everyone in this office is great. You are treated with courtesy and respect. The medical staff always asks if you are comfortable and if you have any questions. Finally, Doctor Reece is awesome. He has a great personality and a friendly demeanor. Plus, he does fantastic work. This office is the best!

Saw Dr Reece several years ago, and again yesterday. Whenever I have issues, I always go to him for an honest opinion that I can trust. I have been extremely satisfied with the care I received and highly recommend Dr Reece and Colorado West Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He and all the staff do an excellent job of caring for their patients.

Wisdom teeth extractions. Everyone was absolutely wonderful.
Surgery was super quick, they moved efficiently to get me started and put me out before my anxiety got to me. Thankful for easy to follow instructions, kind doctor and staff and haven’t had much pain or discomfort.

Meet the Doctors
Colorado West Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is led by two oral and maxillofacial surgeons. Dr. D. Cameron Reece, who holds both a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and a Doctor of Medicine degree, is the owner of the practice. He trained at Case Western Reserve University and has extensive experience in jaw joint disorders, corrective jaw surgery, and dental implants, and he previously served on the administrative board of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Jesse L. Gray, who holds both a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and a Doctor of Medicine degree, joined the practice in 2025 after eight years of practice in Montana and Wyoming. He graduated cum laude from Creighton University School of Dentistry, completed a six-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery with an integrated medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and is board certified as a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
