Let me just begin by saying if you do not want to become very aware during your wisdom teeth surgery because there was something wrong with the iv, I would not go here.
From the very start, DentalPros was disappointing but I wanted to give them a chance. On their website, I filled out their form and selected that I wanted to go to their East office on Pantano. I was quickly contacted and we picked a Friday as that is more convenient for me. I gave her my insurance information and filled out some forms online.
When I got the confirmation text, it was for another office location. Okay, mistakes happen. When I called back, I was told that the east office wasn’t open on Fridays and that’s why the appointment was made at the other office. I told the receptionist if I had been told that I would have picked another day as the east office was 5 mins from me and the other office was 20 minutes from me. We settled on a Thursday appointment at the office I wanted.
The initial visit was nice and the dentist and hygienist were nice. I filled out some forms that I was pretty sure I already filled out and gave my insurance information again. The visit itself was just x rays, discussion of a treatment plan, and a recommendation to meet the surgeon regarding my wisdom teeth.
After I left, I received an email about contacting the office to go over my treatment plan in more detail. I said I was okay with the cleanings, fillings, and wanted to do the laser and fluoride even though my insurance wouldn’t cover it. I prepaid based on the preapproval. I was told that the east office was booked out until November and that the surgeon doesn’t go to that office. I booked my consultation with the surgeon on March 27th and my cleaning and fillings on April 24th.
When it is time for the consultation, I am asked yet again to fill out the same forms I filled out twice and to give my insurance information for the 3rd time. I asked the receptionist to look in the file and if she couldn’t find it, I would provide that information again. She found it.
The consultation went well. I get to the point where we are discussing the preapproval and dates. I ask if we can do May 22nd so I could have a long weekend to recover. I was told that the surgeon would be at a different office and that the estimate would differ (which is weird because same surgeon, same practice but whatever). I agree that I will pay the difference and I walk out with a card that says May 22nd at the location in Oro Valley.
The week before April 22nd, I get a reminder about my wisdom teeth surgery on April 22nd at the Marketplace location, which makes 0 sense, especially as I have my cleanings and fillings on April 24th. I call and get it sorted, I ask about the pay difference between the two locations; I am told that they still have to run the difference between the 2 locations.
The cleaning/filling on April 24th went well. I was asked to wait to pay the difference. I told them that I prepaid but if there is a difference I will pay it. They checked and there was no difference. I left.
About 2 days before the surgery, they call and I pay the around $40 difference for the different location.
Finally it is May 22nd. The day I have my wisdom teeth removed. First off, they are having issues with the oxygen. They get it figured out. I am finally in the twilight state when suddenly I feel intense pain in my jaw. They are digging my tooth out. They realize I can feel it. Something happened with the iv. They played around with it and I am no longer feeling it. At the end, I am told I have to sit an extra 15 minutes to get the last bit of medication that I didn’t receive in the middle of it.
Now almost 4 weeks later I am told I owe another $159 with no explanation.

Great staff, clean very new office everyone is so nice. This is honestly, the best experience I’ve ever had at a dental office!!! all the staff are friendly and make you feel welcome and comfortable!! Absolutely recommend.

Do not trust this place. They will have you sign a pretreatment document about the cost then up the price months later. Prepayment and upfront costs mean nothing to them. They try to get extra not needed services to make more money. Their work is also awful. After spending $8k for dental work for our family we had to pay another $2k at a different dentist to fix the bad work. We were even told by the new dentist to never go back to this place, that's how bad it was.

Beware of Surprise Billing and Poor Communication
I went in for an evaluation, had X-rays taken, and someone came out to discuss benefits and a treatment plan. At no point was I told there would be a charge for this visit or the X-rays. I was only told I needed to pay for the cleaning in advance.
About three weeks later, I received a text saying I owed $300. My original payment was never applied, and I was completely blindsided by this invoice. When I called to ask why I wasn’t informed about the charge upfront, the staff member said she “assumed it would have been covered by my insurance”. Regardless of coverage, I should have received a clear breakdown of what would be billed.
I was promised someone would follow up, but no one did. I called again today, and the charge is still on my account. They continue blaming my insurance and refuse to own the mistake of not being transparent from the first visit.
The staff’s communication has been extremely poor, and employees were rude. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This is a classic case of surprise billing do not go here.

Very rude staff, bad at communicating what’s happening. Was not notified about certain policies.
Cheap waiting room could see them working on customers from the waiting room. Waited for 3 hours just to be denied Employees to busy talking and flirting to get anything done worst dental experience in my life.
