Dr. Greco extracted all 4 of my wisdom teeth - 3 of which were impacted! I can’t recommend her and her staff enough. The procedure itself was made easy with lots of instructions and reassurance. I was kept comfortable and calm.
Another thing I appreciate is how “on it” her staff is. Everyone who I interacted with on the phone and in her office was very knowledgeable and friendly. Dr. Greco’s office was the ONLY oral surgeon who could give me a quote for my procedure over the phone, which informed my decision to have her do the procedure. They have a standard price for the extraction of all 4 wisdom teeth which they were able to provide me with immediately. I called three other providers and none of them could even give me a ballpark estimate of price, which is difficult from a patient’s perspective.
I highly recommend Dr. Greco!

Sixteen years ago, my dentist referred me to Dr. Greco for an implant. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made . Dr. Greco and her staff are the epitome of professionalism.
Recently, again I was referred to Dr. Greco this time for an extraction. Of course I had no trepidation, knowing that I would be well taken care of from the very start.
If you ever need help don’t hesitate.

I am grateful she had availability as I was traveling from out of town when I developed severe pain from a wisdom tooth. Her office and staff in Waimea were calming and welcoming and I couldn’t believe how efficient, effective and gentle Dr. Joan Greco was. I couldn’t recommend her more highly!!!!! Mahalo!!

Diagnosed with a cracked tooth by my dentist, and Dr Greco’s staff had me in their office an hour later, tooth was extracted, and I was home recovering within 3 1/2 hours. I was beyond grateful. Staff made my experience very relaxing and I highly recommend them to anyone.

Hawaii Island Oral Surgery is the Hilo office of oral and maxillofacial surgeon Dr. Joan Greco, who has practiced on Hawaii Island since 1994 and is known as the surgeon with a delicate touch. The practice focuses on dental implants, including the All on X same-day procedure, designed for patients with failing teeth, many missing teeth, or severe bone loss. The office uses three-dimensional printing and surgical planning technology to create precisely fitted implants, and in select cases teeth can be extracted and implants placed with crowns during one visit. The Hilo office sits on Ponahawai Street about three blocks from Hilo Bay, with plenty of off-street parking available.
Implant treatment here is described as a team effort. Dr. Greco places the implants and performs any needed tooth extractions and bone grafting, while your own general dentist fits and makes the permanent replacement teeth.
