Julia was excellent, gentle, pleasant ,quick and thorough. Office invironments very pleasent.the only downside is the cost of a Cleaning has come to mean Xrays, oral evaluation, and actual cleaning bringing the cost to over $400. I like this office and my care but like everything else the costs continue to rise.

*BEWARE* if you have Delta Dental since they now have a dentist who doesn’t take this insurance. We have been going to this practice for over five years and have been very satisfied with the people and services. While Delta Dental warned us back in the fall with a letter, Essex Family Dental then followed reassuring that they did still take the insurance. While having to sign a new financial document in December, my husband then had a cleaning in January that was scheduled 6 months prior. It was only when he arrived, he was told that he would have to pay. This appointment was for a simple cleaning and fluoride only. It’s when he realized he was scheduled with this dentist and wasn’t told the amount due until checking out - $345 which he paid. Granted, they will submit it to Delta Dental on your behalf but out of the $345, we received back $173. I’ve been told you cannot request to not have this dentist, which is very disappointing. The communication from Essex Family Dental has not been transparent, very vague, especially if you don’t really know until you show up for your appointment. Thankful we had the money to pay that day but not ideal for some who won’t and will be blindsided.

Anna in Ortho was absolutely incredible. So friendly, kind, gentle and knowledgeable. I had a minor issue with my permanent bar and she fixed it and then some! I will request to see her every time!

Worst scam artists ever. Take advantage of people in dental emergency. Charged nearly $800 for a filling. Don't answer the phone about billing questions, and have a horrible payment site that doesn't even ask for the patient name or account number. Run, don't walk away from this place. If you have a dental emergency, and don't want to owe nearly a thousand dollars for a replacement filling, go anywhere else. Run away, run away, run away!!!

Sondra is Awesome! She did a super job cleaning my teeth, explaining options for treatment and helping to schedule a fitting for some dentures, in spite of a having a lot of trouble with the computer system. I highly recommend her.
