I had a wonderful experience at First Choice Dental. Dr. Brock did a wonderful job working with me and it was quick and painless. He answered all my questions and was very polite and kind. The dental assistant was wonderful as well! She held my hand through the entire process.

Response to my needs was wonderful, from diagnosis to removal surgery in the same day was amazing. I had an excellent experience with the removal of an infected molar on Thursday at the Park Street location. I went from diagnosis in the morning during a cleaning on Junction Rd to the completed removal by 4:00 in the afternoon. I was very impressed with the surgeon and assistant. Both were highly competent and their bedside manner was superb. I've never visited this Park St location before , but my experience was very positive. Dr Lee was very competent and sensitive to my feelings of discomfort and his assistant was very sensitive and competent also. I thank them for their effective care and results, since there was virtually no pain at all through the next two days and no pain now. They get an A+ !!

I went to First Choice Dental as a teen, so I was excited to return as an adult and take advantage of their membership plan for reduced price care since I don't have dental insurance. However, I am feeling disappointed, in both the membership and the care I received. TL;DR: I was not given a price before they performed X-rays I didn't know I needed, and though I paid for a full-mouth standard cleaning, they only cleaned my front teeth, charged me $210, and told me to schedule an additional deep-clean for $750 to do the rest of my mouth. Finally, they did not give me info or options on gum recession, simply telling me I HAD to talk to the specialist and would NEED to get gum grafting. The whole point of the membership is to get care with no waiting period, and knowing the cost up front (no hidden fees etc - everything is a set price). I scheduled a simple cleaning, for $75. The assistant immediately started setting up X-rays; when I asked if I could opt out, she told me the doctor couldn't see me unless I did them. I figured ok, it's been a couple years since I got X-rays, that's fine even if it's a little more money. But I was never quoted a price or told more info. Then the tech came in to clean my teeth. After looking at my teeth, she said she would need to perform a "deep cleaning" on the molars/back of my mouth, and explained this would require numbing (which makes me super anxious). She was very reassuring and kind about my anxiety, and then told me she would clean my front teeth in a standard way, and proceeded to do so. I assumed she would then do the deeper cleaning, or at least a basic cleaning of my molars; she did not. The doctor came in and told me that I have gum recession in the back, and that I would need to consult with a periodontist about grafting (which makes me very anxious). I asked what the alternatives would be, and he simply said "To not do it, which I don't recommend." I said I understood, but were there any other options for types of care? He showed me some photos of grafting examples and told me it wasn't a scary procedure - not answering my question or actually giving me any info. I explained I had seen the periodontist about this same issue 12 years ago, as a young teen (in a very uncomfortable visit at that same office, wherein the doctor assumed my dad was my husband; the current staff simply chuckled at this story), and had opted out at that time too. Regardless, doc and tech agreed I should get a deep cleaning. I assumed this would now happen, but no - the tech walked me to the desk and told me I would have to schedule the deep cleaning ahead, in at least two installments, and I was quoted $750+ for these. Then I was charged $210 for the X-rays and cleaning - except I never even had my molars cleaned at all, so I basically only had half a cleaning! I am really disappointed in the lack of transparency, lack of giving me autonomy or options, the high prices, not giving me much actual info to make an informed decision, and the fact that I paid for a full cleaning and didn't get it. In spite of investing in the membership, I intend to switch dentists now to receive better care.

My son went to Dr Geffin for a periodontal skin graft consultation. We were very impressed with her thoughtful and thorough evaluation. She spent a good amount of time ensuring our questions were answered and finding ways to accommodate his special needs. We really liked her.

The actual visit was great. Dr. Lee was very informative and reassuring. However I had a referral and was told to call and schedule an appointment. I called 6 times within 15 days with no one but the answering machine to take my message. No one responded. Finally I called the referring dentist office and they were able to schedule an appointment for me. When I mentioned this at the actual appointment I was told they are a very busy office and the answering machine was low priority
