This place is outstanding: from the lovely and soothing waiting room, to the kind and caring staff, to the doctor and dental assistants: everyone is making sure you know and understand what is going on, how much it will cost, your options…. What was a scary treatment when I first came, became so easy and with no pain. I felt good and reassured every time I left this office. I highly recommend going there if you have any deeper dental issues/ concerns. Perfect !

One can't give feedback of one's overall experience by attributing skills to one individual. The whole team at Dr. Konikoff's really need to be credited as well. From the first time you walk into a beautifully decorated office and are greeted by a super friendly and smiling staff right up to when you leave after your procedure and are handed a solid chocolate implant (true story), the interaction with his staff is always pleasant. I've always had anxiety when it comes to receiving dental work but Dr. Konikoff was very clear and transparent about what was going to happen and how long it would take. He explained the process up front and what expectations he had of me. He's confident in his skills as he well should be. For me the process was as easy as laying still and listening to the music he was playing and casually singing along with. His chair side manner removed any angst I may have had. No one enjoys getting dental surgery but he certainly made it more bearable than I expected and it all went down quickly. His personal follow up that night over the phone was unexpected and truly appreciated. Overall great service. If there were two of him, he'd be a PAIRiodontist. He not idle, he takes action which means he's not a perioDONTist, he's a perioDOist His experience and skill means that he's not a periodontist, he's a periodontARTist. Dr Konikoff and team made a lousy experience a lot less lousy and who doesn't like free chocolate implants?

Facebook Post I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Hoag and his incredible team. As someone who has had a genuine fear of the dentist for my entire adult life, the thought of having a tooth extraction brought on an overwhelming amount of anxiety. I was so nervous that I needed medication before the appointment just to get through it. From the moment I walked into the office, Dr. Hoag and his staff treated me with kindness, patience, and understanding. They never made me feel embarrassed about my fear. Instead, they went above and beyond to make me comfortable. What impressed me most was how attentive they were to my needs. They knew I didn't want to hear all the details of the procedure—I simply wanted it to be as calm and smooth as possible—and they respected that completely. Only after the procedure did I realize they had dimmed the lights and played soft, calming music in the room to help reduce my anxiety. Those small touches made a huge difference. The extraction itself was far easier than I ever imagined, and the compassion shown by Dr. Hoag and his team was truly remarkable. For anyone who struggles with dental anxiety, please know that this is a practice that genuinely cares about their patients as people, not just appointments on a schedule. Thank you, Dr. Hoag and team, for turning what I thought would be a terrifying experience into one that was surprisingly comfortable and stress-free. You have earned a patient for life. Hygienist Cindy is a true gift to all nervous patients! She is exceedingly kind, gentle, and caring, while being so professional and thorough! She listened to and completely addressed my concerns and asked me how I was doing a number of times. I left with my teeth and gums feeling extremely clean and well cared for, and just as importantly, a big smile on my face! Cindy teaches dental hygiene at ODU, and it shows! Wow! Ask for Cindy if you possibly can. She was my angel of dental hygiene. I will be back with much less angst, which is huge.

They were quick, organized.and I think they did a good job. But ZERO bedside manner. My dr did not hardly speak 10 words to me. I noticed she was wearing a VCU coat and so I mentioned that I also went there. She honestly couldn’t care less. No … oh what did study? No … when did you graduate? She simply didn’t care to learn anything about me. I felt like a number not a patient.
