Dr. Vidrine and his staff were very extremely professional with me. They took care of my tooth pain the same day I went in. He did dental work for my wife, and now I am a customer of theirs. All around good vibes and just a great, clean environment. Definitely, for me, they are worth 5 stars. They earned that.

Honestly I was truly shocked at my appointment. My Dr mainly stated my teeth still have a lot of life left. Explain the pros and cons about the dentures. He gave me a referral to another dentist so I can get a second opinion on the rest of my teeth. If anyone needs a great dentist for what he specialized in I would definitely recommend him. Don't let me forget about the lady I believe her name is Jasmine. She is awesome 馃槑 the front officelady is really nice as well.

They explained everything pretty clearly to me. I was super nervous, I haven鈥檛 been to the dentist in years. I had no idea what I needed and they explained the differences between the two implants. Everyone was very nice and judge free. Completely dissolving my opinion of doctors/dentists

Having all of your teeth removed and going through the denture process is not a small thing, and it definitely isn't something that gets finished in a single visit. I've spent a lot of time in this office over the course of my treatment, which included full-mouth extractions, immediate dentures, and lower implants for a future snap-in denture. Dr. Vidrine performed my surgery and has overseen my treatment from the beginning. I felt comfortable putting my trust in him for such a major procedure, and I appreciate the work he and his team have done throughout the process. On a side note, he is fast. Very fast. I arrived for my extractions at 7:30am and was at home in my bed by 9:30am. For context, that's after full dental extractions and 4 implants installed for later snap ins. Victoria has been one of the people I've dealt with the most. She is the one that keeps everything moving and has always been willing to answer questions and help when issues came up. She's who has helped me the most. It takes about a month after the surgery for your speech to start to normalize. There is some discomfort immediately afterwards but this subsided for me after a couple of weeks. You should plan to miss several days of work. And for the first couple of days you should place an absorbent pad on your pillow where you sleep. Yogurt and soup for the first week. Most importantly, if you're getting implants for lower snap in dentures, manage expectations. This is a change and things will be different. Do not panic if the immediate lower denture does not really function. I was able to function without it at all. You can still eat most things with only an upper denture as long as you're careful and wait until your lower arch is healed enough. The upper denture will need adjustments throughout the process. This is normal. It's different for everyone and I needed an adjustment every other week or so. It only takes about 30 min to have it done. Finally, my snap ins were fitted for me. It was necessary to have one more fitting a couple of days after that but it only took 20 minutes. The staff is prepared for more adjustments if they're necessary. The goal is 90 days from beginning to end. Everyone's experience will be slightly different. I have heard many others talk about 6 months or a year long process after visiting other practices. Day 1 to today was less than 4 months for me.

This is my first time coming here, and Jasmine and Dr. Vidrine made me feel so safe and comfortable during my visit. They explained everything so thoroughly and made sure I understood everything for the procedure and what will be taking place. Dr. Vidrine took his time with me, listened carefully and was so patient. I am so excited to have my smile restored here!

About Louisiana Implants and Dentures

Louisiana Implants and Dentures is a dental implant clinic located on Airline Highway in Baton Rouge, near the intersection with Bluebonnet Boulevard. Unlike a typical general dentist office, this practice has chosen to focus only on a narrow set of services: dental implants, tooth removal, and dentures, rather than offering fillings, root canals, crowns, or braces. That focus means the team spends most of its time on full mouth implant treatment, including the fixed full arch option often called All on Four, as well as traditional and implant supported dentures.

The practice describes doing much of the implant and denture process in house, including design and fabrication of restorations in their own lab, rather than sending that work out to a separate laboratory. They also state that most patients can complete treatment in as few as three visits. Patients considering implants or dentures in the Baton Rouge area can request a free consultation to find out whether they are a candidate and to get a clear breakdown of pricing before starting treatment.

Meet the Doctors

Dr. Blake Vidrine, DDS is the dentist and owner at Louisiana Implants and Dentures. According to the practice's own website, he completed additional training focused specifically on dental implant surgery and restorations beyond dental school, and he is listed as a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. The practice's site also states he is working toward becoming a diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology. His name, practice address, and phone number match the National Provider Identifier registry record on file for this location, and the Better Business Bureau lists him as the practice's owner under the same Louisiana dental license number.
