Dr. McConnell and his staff are wonderful. I was a bit nervous about going to a new dentist after my former dentist for many years retired, but I’m very happy here. Everything, including costs, is well-explained, and everyone that has been “in my mouth” has been gentle and patient.

By now i have had a crown replaced by dr Denhert and a deep cleaning performed by Emily, both needing several injections of anesthesia. Both experiences were quite painless, which is one important way i judge a dental practice. they are also very thorpugh in examinations, and referred me to an orañ surgeon for an issue with my tongue. . The crown fit perfectly. I am new to Novato and i feel i have found my dentist, i will keep going to MMD

8/12/26 It was my 1st visit to Marin Modern Dentistry in Novato, Rigo took my full mouth 18 pictures with much patience & kindness because of my sensitivities to gadgets placed in & out of my mouth. Dr McConnell was friendly & I felt his compassion which instantly put me at ease as I was kind of embarrassed with my own receding gum condition, he took time showing me the pictures of my teeth & explained clearly my dental condition & what has to be done & what can be done & that they are there to help me, what a hopeful & wonderful experience. 8/14/26 I went for my 1st cleaning there. Alicia Covarrubias was the hygienist, she is skilled & did my teeth cleaning just the way I like it - gentle, no pain & I could feel she scraped & cleaned each tooth of mine carefully & tactfully. The staff there made me feel welcomed & they each served with a smile & Consuelo at d front desk took the time to answer all my questions concerning insurance claims. I wish I know this dentistry earlier.

Staff is very friendly and no complaints about the quality of service, but the prices go up every time we go there. Cleaning in July 2025 was $140, in July 2026 was $193 (>37% increase in one year). I got X-rays and a cleaning, it was $420 in Jan 2026 for me, but $485 for my wife in March. We will have to look elsewhere since there seems to be no end to rising prices.

Love this dental office! Everyone is so friendly and sweet. Anything dental tends to make most of us nervous - but this is the first office I’ve gone to where I feel confident they will take care of me, be conservative, all the latest tech and I’ve found that I don’t dread the dentist anymore. Been going here for years and am very happy! Keep up the good work Marin Modern! You guys are awesome!
