When the dentist told me I needed an implant, I was thinking....
1. Lots of money
2. Several appts
3. Pain
It was none of these!
The nurses were kind and very knowledgeable. The doctor was great, he explained everything, so I wasn't nervous at all. Only 3 appts, consult, procedure and follow-up in 3 months. The insurance paid most of the cost.

From the time I walked into the door and out the door I was treated with the utmost professionalism and a true sense of compassion and kindness. That is a rare thing in today’s world! Thank you to Dr. Taliaferro and the entire staff at OFSA! You made an anxiety provoking procedure painless and stress free!

Dr. Tyler King is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and good at his job. With my unique health status and an emergent wisdom tooth situation, the staff (Britney? She has the cute pink keyboard & mouse at Olathe) worked miracles to get me in asap. Even with general anesthesia, me & my newly extracted teeth left within 90 minutes of arrival time. Couldn’t recommend enough.

COME HERE!!! It was so quick, and the staff were so friendly. I literally had no time to have anxiety! I had two bottom wisdom teeth removed. one or both impacted idk. They did an amazing job. Day 5, and I never got super swollen. minimal pain. The procedure and recovery couldn’t have been better

I was very nervous going in for this extraction but my doc's assistant was great at letting me know what to expect. Doctor Barber had a tough task but I had minimal pain from the first shots to the final stitches. WHAT A RELIEF! Hours later, mild discomfort and no swelling. I highly recommend then.

Oral & Facial Surgery Associates' Prairie Star Parkway office is an oral surgery practice located at 23351 Prairie Star Parkway, Suite A135, in west Lenexa, Kansas. The office sits inside the AdventHealth Building on the medical campus off K-10, and the practice describes it as a newer location that is open and accepting patients. The team serves patients from west Lenexa neighborhoods such as Falcon Valley, Stonebridge, and Cedar Creek, along with Shawnee, De Soto, Gardner, Olathe, and eastern Lawrence. Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
Dental implants are a core service here, including bone grafting and sinus lifts to rebuild the foundation an implant needs. Other services at this location include wisdom tooth removal, tooth extractions, corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma care, oral pathology, and TMJ treatment. IV sedation and nitrous oxide are offered and administered by the surgeons themselves. The practice accepts most major dental insurance plans and encourages patients to call ahead to confirm coverage. New patients can expect a consultation, a review of imaging and history, and a clear treatment plan before any procedure.
Meet the Doctors
The practice's clinical team includes Dr. Kirk Collier, Dr. Tyson Marrs, Dr. Michael Barber, Dr. Andrew Taliaferro, Dr. Tyler King, and Dr. Mitchell Esquibel, each an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. They are described as board-certified, having completed medical school training and a hospital-based residency, and passed national board examinations, in addition to dental school.
Sedation options, including IV sedation and nitrous oxide, are administered by the surgeons themselves rather than a separate provider, which can be helpful to know if you feel anxious about dental implant surgery.
