The primary issue was a lack of communication and, more importantly, unclear communication throughout the process. Because I am blind, I rely heavily on verbal guidance and clarity, this created unnecessary confusion and made the experience more difficult than it needed to be.
Medical environments require a higher standard of communication, especially when working with patients who have disabilities. Clear explanations, proactive guidance, and confirmation of understanding are essential, and that standard was not met here.

What an amazing team…led by Awesome Dr. Whitman. The level of professionalism and kindness is outstanding! I had to have a procedure I was NOT looking forward to and it was so unexpected. But, the care I received alleviated any concerns….I highly recommend this office ! Thank you Dr. Whitman!

As a dentist myself, I have referred patients to this practice for many years.
This was the second time that I had to refer myself for treatment for emergency extractions of two teeth.
The staff was so kind and helpful in scheduling my appointment.
Dr. Whitman treated me with kindness and professional care.
This is why I have referred patients to this practice for so many years.
The staff and Doctors have always taken great care of everyone.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place. I had a huge issue with my insurance company and was thought I was going to have to cancel. Debbie called me and said, "wait, don't cancel yet... let me make some calls" Her and her team were able to make progress I was unable to make on my own and my son's surgery happened. She is truly an angel. The surgical staff was great. They made sure they spoke to me directly after my son's surgery and then followed up the next day to make sure they were recovering well. I would definately reccommend this place to anyone needing an oral surgeon.

About Orlando Oral and Facial Surgery
Orlando Oral and Facial Surgery is an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice with five offices across central Florida, including this location at 775 Primera Boulevard, Suite 1001 in Lake Mary. The practice describes its philosophy as providing safe and compassionate patient care in a relaxed atmosphere, something it says has guided the group for the past 25 years. Its surgeons practice the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, from corrective jaw surgery and wisdom tooth removal to bone grafting, facial trauma care, oral cancer exams and tooth extractions.
For patients considering dental implants, the practice performs a full range of implant procedures, including single tooth replacement, full mouth dental implants and the All-on-4 treatment concept, along with bone grafting, sinus lifts, ridge augmentation and socket preservation when needed before implants. The website states that each office is equipped with a cone beam CT scanner for three dimensional imaging, that the staff is trained to assist with intravenous sedation, and that dental implants can be placed using Yomi robotic guidance. The Lake Mary office is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5 PM and Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM, and it serves patients from Lake Mary, Sanford, Altamonte Springs, Winter Springs and the greater Orlando area.
