Great Dentist. I normally hate going to the dentist but doctor Davis is the best. I have had extractions and a root canal. No pain at all from either.

I never leave reviews, as I don’t feel the need to speak negatively about a place, but I can’t stay silent about my experience here. I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through what I have, and I feel responsible for speaking out. As I write this, I am still in a great deal of pain almost two years later.
From the beginning, my experience at this office was frustrating. I came in with significant pain, hoping for real solutions, but instead, I was given round after round of antibiotics with no long-term plan. I made it clear which side of my mouth was hurting the most, yet somehow, work was done on the opposite side—something even the dental assistant questioned out loud in the room. After that, not only did my original pain persist, but new issues arose where they had done the unnecessary work. I ended up worse off after multiple visits, and some of the teeth they worked on only deteriorated further.
The only bright spot in this office was the dental assistants. They were the only ones who seemed to listen and show any real concern. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for the actual dentist, who ignored my concerns multiple times, or for the front desk staff. If the conversation wasn’t about payments, they didn’t seem to care. The front desk woman, Elyse (or Alyssa), was incredibly rude and dismissive no matter how much pain I was in. I was met with indifference at best, and outright rudeness at worst, every time I called in for help.
This whole ordeal has taken a serious toll on me, both physically and financially. I trusted this office to help me, but instead, I’ve been left in pain, out a significant amount of money, and still searching for real treatment. I don’t take leaving a review like this lightly, but I feel like people deserve to know what kind of experience they may have here.
I have emails, calls, etc saved if you want to reach out to me for more information before you make this your dental office of choice please feel free. I am happy to share more and hopefully help someone else avoid anything like this.

Being new to the area , I was looking for a dental practice . The group at Portland Dental Health Care will be my practice going forward. My first visit was met with a wonderful front office person , Jill. Right away I felt less anxiety . The office is a beautiful building that feels more like a home . Petia was my dental assistant. She was wonderful . I never felt rushed at all . After my x rays I met Dr. Michelle . She not only did my exam but my cleaning as well. I could not have asked for a better experience. All of my questions were answered and it was a professional and friendly practice . I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist.

I never went to the dentist through college, and this was the first one I tried once I moved to Portland. The staff members are friendly and the Doctors are knowledgeable. They discovered a cavity in my first visit and were able to treat it on the same day, answering the multitude of questions I had about the procedure. Since then I have been going three to four times a year and my teeth haven't had any problems!
The dental hygienists are all pretty different, and there are some I like better than others - some offer a barrage of superficial conversation which can be a little uncomfortable, while others are a little more... genuine? There seems to be a weird push for certain brands of home dental products which is weird when I'm with certain hygienists, too. I don't know what the deal is around that, but I like it better when I just get the basic care and information I need. I have also had both most pleasant and most uncomfortable cleaning experiences at this practice, so my experience varies wildly with each hygienist I guess.
Anyway, as long as I get one of the good hygienists this is probably one of the best practices I will ever visit, and I have no plans to change anytime soon.
