I’ve been coming here for my cleanings and always have a great experience. The staff is super friendly, the office is clean and welcoming, and everything is explained clearly so you feel comfortable the whole time. My hygienist Michelle is especially thorough but gentle, which I really appreciate! It never feels rushed and they take time to answer my questions. It makes going to the dentist a lot more enjoyable and less stressful! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a place that’s professional, efficient, and genuinely cares about patient comfort.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My dental journey with Dr. Yamen could honestly be turned into a mini-series—equal parts suspense, comedy, and ultimately… a very happy ending 😄 It all started with tooth pain and a gut feeling to choose a dentist who trained at the University of Minnesota (I’m from Minnesota, so that felt like fate). Then I discovered he had three boys and a wife named Nora—my name is Lenore—so clearly, this was meant to be. At my first visit in Saint Charles, I was greeted by what I can only describe as a well-orchestrated whirlwind of staff preparing me for a dental implant. Mid-procedure, plot twist: the tooth needed to come out. Extraction time. (Performed by a dentist well over 6 feet tall—somehow reassuring!) That led to another twist… a tissue graft from the roof of my mouth—with my slightly stunned but verbal approval of the additional $1600 😅 Then came the real surprise: I called for a follow-up and was told… my doctor was gone. No explanation, just “you can see anyone.” It felt like my favorite character disappeared mid-show. But not for long—I tracked him down in Orland Park (because when you find a good periodontist, you follow him). Despite arriving to a facility dealing with a long-standing roof leak and a whole new cast of faces, I found my way back to Dr. Yamen. This time, I chose conscious sedation (highly recommend for anyone with a little dental anxiety), and everything went smoothly. The staff was kind, the process seamless, and I felt completely confident in his care. Fast forward through the usual dental “sequel episodes” (x-rays, referrals, scheduling gymnastics), and now I’m visiting Naperville—closer to home and absolutely worth the drive. Even when there’s a tiny hiccup (“Where’s that ratchet? This one isn’t working!”), the team pulls together like pros. And here’s the best part—Dr. Yamen isn’t just the periodontist… sometimes he’s also the hygienist, the technician, and the conductor of this whole operation. Watching him fine-tune my implant and bite alignment feels like watching an artist at work. End result: I have my first implant, zero pain, and complete confidence in my smile. If you want expertise, persistence, and a doctor you’d literally drive miles to find again—Dr. Yamen is your person.

This is the best dental clinic I have been to. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. In addition, the dental crew are very knowledgeable, skilled and professional. Dr. Akhras along with his team is a one stop shop for all your needs. My whole family get the same level or care and professional treatment. Highly recommended!

Our journey with Dr. Yamen Akhras was a long but eventually very fruitful one. My wife’s general dentist misdiagnosed and mistreated my wife’s periodontal disease for many years. Eventually the deterioration was so bad that her teeth became very loose, and this is someone who religiously cleaned their teeth twice a day. What should have been an easy fix for her with proper care, eventually led to a situation where she was facing the possibility of losing more than half of her teeth. Thankfully we saw Dr. Akhras and he turned everything around. His diligent and expert care immediately identified the problem and we embarked on one year journey where he addressed and treated the problem. Through multiple surgeries and expert bone grafts, he was able to save many of her teeth and strengthen the bone to stop any further loss. We owe Dr. Akhras a lot, and we are grateful for him and his staff. An amazing surgical dentist for sure!

I had gums that were in terrible shape and some loose teeth. I initially went in for a consultation for implants but was told we could turn it around with the LANAP procedure. I am a little over a year after my procedure and Dr yamen was right, my gums and teeth have made a recovery and bounced back. So thankful I went this route over something more drastic.
