Came in yesterday at 4:41pm and they were closed even though online it said it was open also 3 weeks ago came in on a Sunday and they were also closed. Would be better to update online with proper time. When I came in 9 min after my appt between the grace period they offer the hygienist didn’t want to clean my teeth and only do the Xray then proceeded to call the manager instead of going with trying to get the cleaning. I was then charged extra money for a deep cleaning or she wasn’t gonna clean my teeth at all.

My family been going to them for the past 5 years since we moved here. Experience has been good but their scheduling really frustrated me when we went last month. My husband, my daughter, and me had 3 appointments scheduled 40 minutes apart from each other, 1:00, 1:40, and 2:20. We arrived a bit early around 12:30 since it’s my 3 year olds first dental appointment, so need extra time to fill out paperwork. She was seen pretty much right away a bit before her scheduled time. But when we are checking in we were told my husband appointment was moved from 1:40 to 2:40, without any prior notice. The reason we scheduled the appointments this way is we have a 6 months old and the 3 year old. So one of us need to watch the kids while the other one do the appointment. Since they changed our appointment without letting us know in advanced we ended up waiting in the lobby for over 2 hours for our appointments with an infant and a toddler. Then our appointments were partially overlapping and we can’t really watch the kids as planned, ended up being a hot mess, we were both in and out of the office keep trading the kids. While we were waiting, there were people that continues to come in every 10 minutes for their appointments. Not sure why we are the only one whose appointment was pushed back especially we were already there waiting.

I had a great experience at the Salinas Valley Dental Care office. The entire visit was smooth and completely painless, which made me feel very comfortable from start to finish. Dr. Ngoc Bui was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly, answering all of my questions with patience. The level of professionalism from both the dentist and staff really stood out. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for quality dental care.

Prior to scheduling an appointment at this office, I asked the receptionist if they could ensure I was in-network to avoid large fees. They confirmed I was in network and proceeded to schedule me. The office was very nice and everyone was very kind. However, someone in their billing office dropped the ball. I was quoted $4,000 for molar extractions, which at the time I thought was normal (I'm in my early 20's and didn't know any better). I paid half of the service only to find out when I got home that I was overcharged. I called my insurance and they informed me I, in fact, was NOT in-network. It is very disappointing to realize some places are not transparent, and they possibly took advantage of the fact that I was young and didn't know any better. Be extra careful when scheduling with this office.

The staff were welcoming in showing me around the office as well as laying out the treatment plan along with the costs and priority of each. Unfortunately, to no fault of theirs I will not be seeking further treatment here due to the cost. I acknowledge that dental costs anywhere will not be cheap but the prices for each of my planned procedures place me in an uncomfortable situation to choose between my academic/personal expenses and my dental needs. I might revisit this clinic in the future once I have a more stable income but currently as a full time student soon to transfer I must place priority on my academic needs along with its financial implications. This in no way makes me regret my decision to explore my options at this clinic or implies that my dental health is less of a priority for me. If anything I will continue to closely monitor my dental health and continue to search for all possible options and alternatives. Nonetheless, I still reccomend this clinic beyond any other I have ever visited or consulted with and I thank them for their exceptional service.
