So I’m one of those panicky dentist patients… like over board scared of dental work… I’m gonna say that this is the first dentist office I have been to that completely handled me with care… from the front desk to especially the dental assistant (sooo caring and helpful) and the dentist himself. I had to have two crowns put on and they offered me a way to be calm, and their approach during the dental work was amazing. And the dentist has such an easy touch that I didn’t feel much pain at all during the service. If you are like me, I’d highly recommend this place. To the Staff: THANK YOU! So much. I had almost canceled twice the morning of the service, but you guys were so great with me, very understanding and didn’t treat me like I was being crazy. Thank you… patient for life!

I had an amazing experience at Smile Advanced Dental Care in New Braunfels. Dr. Matos performed a very difficult extraction on a broken tooth and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. At no point did I feel any pain, which honestly amazed me considering how bad the tooth was.
The entire staff was incredibly welcoming and caring — everyone greeted me with hugs and made me feel like family from the moment I walked in. You can truly tell they care about their patients and go above and beyond to make the experience as stress-free as possible.
If you’re looking for a dentist who is skilled, compassionate, and surrounded by an amazing team, I highly recommend Smile Advanced Dental Care and Dr. Matos!

I definitely recommend Dr. Matos for your dentistry and medical expertise! I was referred by a close friend who has worked directly with this clinic. I am a complex patient that is always an anomaly when I walk into the dentist with still obtaining baby teeth and with missing several teeth they worked well with scheduling, payment options, and my procedures. I cannot thank them enough and will continue to return for dentistry care!
The office and front desk are very hospitable and kind. Thank you to everyone here!
They also provide pediatric care for the kiddos!

I unfortunately visit drs offices often and fill out many intake forms. This office has to be one of the very first that actually read what you put on that form. I mentioned how going to the dentist makes me anxious and they read that and actually were very mindful of that throughout my entire visit and it honestly it didn’t take long until I felt at ease. Everyone was extremely thorough in explaining everything and making sure I was okay. Dr. Matos was amazing in explaining things and overall just wanting me to have good oral hygiene and health. There was nothing pushy about the visit. I have to return for work and I can say I don’t feel anxious about it.

About Smile Advanced Dental Care
Smile Advanced Dental Care is a family dental office located at 385 Landa Street in New Braunfels, Texas, serving patients from New Braunfels as well as nearby Boerne, Seguin, and Marion. The practice describes patients as part of its family and aims to guide them through their care without judgement, comfortably and always with a smile. Services range from preventive cleanings, exams, and digital x-rays to cosmetic dentistry such as veneers, whitening, and white fillings, along with restorative care including crowns, bridges, inlays and onlays, and dentures. The office also offers Invisalign clear aligners, root canal therapy, gum disease treatment, extractions, bone grafting, and sedation dentistry for patients with dental anxiety. Pediatric dentistry is available as well, and the office is bilingual, with Spanish as an additional language.
For patients missing teeth, the practice offers dental implants as a durable replacement that functions and looks like natural teeth. According to the practice's website, implants may be paired with replacement crowns for full tooth replacement or used to anchor dentures, and Dr. Matos recommends a tooth replacement plan based on each patient's individual needs and preferences, taking into account factors such as bone support, gum health, sinus and nerve location, and overall health. The practice states that it accepts most major dental plans, will contact your insurance provider on your behalf to help confirm coverage, and provides flexible payment options for patients without dental coverage. Office hours include Monday through Thursday appointments, with Friday by appointment, and the practice asks patients with a dental emergency outside operating hours to call as soon as possible to arrange follow-up care.
