Dr. Hardy and his team are phenomenal . My daughter and I have been going to his office for over 12 years now and it's always been a great and pain free visit each time . The staff are very friendly, hospitable and professional from the front desk to the exam rooms and you can feel that they all care about their clients and treat them like a family. Hands down to Somerset Family Dentistry. Best dental office ever . Highly recommended!

Best dentist experience I have ever had!! Examine was thorough and the visuals of x rays was amazing. I have never had visuals of x rays presented and explained to me like this ever!! Meghan was super professional but yet so down to earth to communicate with to ask questions and have answers explained. Love her!! The entire office was super sweet. Dr. Hardy very professional and I felt very comfortable asking him questions. 1000% recommend Dr. Hardy and his staff!!!!

The staff is very helpful, friendly and professional. Dr Hardy has placed implants with no problems. Everything went so well. No swelling and only a little discomfort. I am so impressed that I drrive out of town to his office to get any work done. He is clear on the plan options and his instructions are clear! I just don't have anything negative at this point. All my experiences has been positive.

This mornings visit to the Somerset Family Dentistry was very good. Dr. Hardy is easy to talk with and is very caring to make sure no pain and fixes your dental isn’t the very best. He is super knowledgeable on latest tech care for saving your teeth. His staff is nice too. My family has been going there for many years.

About Somerset Family Dentistry
Somerset Family Dentistry is a general dental practice at 125 Barnett Street in Somerset, Kentucky, serving patients from Somerset and the surrounding area. The practice describes its approach as taking care of everything from the tooth that has been hurting to the smile a patient has been hiding, and it says it has invested in the training and technology to handle nearly everything in-house. Restorative services include single tooth dental implants, All-on-4 dental implant restoration, dentures, bridges, fillings, extractions, and crowns that are milled in the office so patients leave the same day with a permanent restoration. Cosmetic services include veneers, teeth whitening, and clear aligners, and preventative care includes routine cleanings and sealants.
For patients weighing dental implants or other tooth replacement options, a first visit begins with listening and a thorough assessment that includes a complimentary dental health scan, which creates a detailed visual of the teeth right in the room so patients can see what the team sees. From there, the team walks through the available treatments, what each involves, and what to expect in time and cost, leaving the final decision to the patient. Before recommending an extraction, the practice says it does everything possible to save a tooth, and when a tooth must be removed it makes sure patients understand their options for replacing it. The practice also offers an optional in-house membership program that it positions as an alternative to dental insurance, and it commits to treating every patient with humanity, dignity, and a promise never to judge.
Meet the Doctors
The practice is led by Dr. Jonathan Hardy, DMD, ABGD, FAGD. Dr. Hardy trained at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, completed a two-year advanced education program, and is board certified by the American Board of General Dentistry. He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, which the practice notes is a distinction held by only 24 dentists in Kentucky, and a member of the American Dental Association. Before settling in Somerset, he served six years as a dental officer in the United States Army at Fort Bragg, North Carolina and Fort Wainwright, Alaska, leaving active duty at the rank of Major. He has practiced in Somerset for a couple of decades and is supported by a team of dental hygienists and assistants the site says have also been with the practice for decades.
