Had to have a tooth drilled on to try to save it, ultimately to much gone and needed a root canal, however I truly appreciate them taking the time to try to save the tooth before going straight to a root canal. I had two experiences with two of their Dentists and found both to be pleasant, compassionate, and highly skilled. And Stevie was just the best Dental Assistant.
TBH best dentist I’ve ever been to.
They even gave me an Elvis smile after the anesthesia 😃 Highly recommend!

I’m so grateful for the care we received. The receptionist at the front desk was lovely. The dentist and dental hygienist were both very effective and took the time to be gentle, patient, and reassuring with my 4-year-old daughter. They made what could have been a stressful visit feel easy and comfortable for her. Truly appreciate their kindness and professionalism!

I had an extraction today and although it's not how I enjoy spending my day, Southern Magnolia Dental made it the best possible under the circumstances. Dr Sheffield is excellent. He communicates well, is compassionate and seems technically superb. The administrative staff is very good, knowledgeable and prepared to handle insurance questions and payments correctly the first time. The dental assistant ( hygienist?) I believe Stevie?
( bad hearing on my part) was wonderful and very competent and worked in tandem with the doctor. As I have more procedures ahead, I can only review to this point. As of now, I'd highly recommend this office, staff and dentist.

We had a great experience at Southern Magnolia Dental. Becky was wonderful with my 3- and 6-year-old kids. She made sure they felt comfortable the entire time and was very patient with them. The visit was quick, and thorough. My son had X-rays, an exam, and a cleaning, and my daughter had an exam and cleaning. Everything was done in about an hour. I highly recommend Southern Magnolia Dental.

When in search of an in network dentist (as mine is no longer in network), I was given a list from Blue cross/blue shield. I looked at the list and called the office number. I was sent the paperwork to fill out on line prior to the appointment. When I got to the part that required me to submit my credit card information ahead of the appointment, I questioned it. I tried to move past it, but was unable to. I contacted the office and explained that I was not comfortable giving this information over the phone”net” as it can be easily compromised and so on and so forth. I was told that information was for me to pay a $50 no call/no show charge if I didn’t show up! I explained that I had every intention of showing up, but still wasn’t comfortable with giving this information out as I had had access compromised in the past. Then I was told that they now charge a $50 fee up front for new patients and I was lucky that I had made the appointment prior to this change! My son in law manages a dentist office in another state so, I asked him if this was common practice. He said that asking for that information up from , before a visit was not common practice and definitely a a new patient being charged prior to the appointment! Needless to say, I am contacting my insurance company and letting them know…(Though my son in law says they probably won’t do anything). And told them to take the 2 appointments I had made off the books! Wanted to warn others before being sucked in! I even told the woman that was on the phone that information should have been shared with me upon making the appointments! What in the world is this world coming to!!!! Maybe it’s the “number” thing/mark of the beast—-but, why would I be required to give that information to someone I do not know and do not have a business relationship with—-but why else would they require numbers of this nature over the internet? Is it because they can’t be compromised? Is it because they can’t be hacked? Oh, wait—-we all know THAT NEVER happens! After that, if I could give them less than one star—-I would!
