Dr. Bourland removed a cracked, infected tooth and placed a graft two weeks ago, to prepare for an implant. He suggested IV sedation, which I graciously accepted, and answered all questions during my consultation. On the day of the procedure, his staff was knowledgeable and explained everything they were doing. I'm not an easy stick for IVs, but Dr. Bourland was able to get access on the first try and I was so very thankful. The IV sedation was quick and I was in and out in less than an hour. The site is healing well and I have every confidence I will be well cared for when the time comes for the implant. I also called his office today because my insurance denied quite a bit for the procedure, but they were already filing an appeal and had jumped on it before I even called. His staff is one of the most professional, courteous, and knowledgeable group of medical office staff members I've had the privilege of interacting with. I highly recommend Dr. Bourland and his office staff for any oral surgery procedures!

Love Dentist Bourland, his implants are done painlessly, his primary concern is zero pain or discomfort for his patients. I have several of his implants. His front office staff seem to know insurance coverage and options better than any group I have ever met. His new office has tons of convenient parking.

About White Rock Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
White Rock Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is a single-surgeon oral surgery practice in East Dallas led by Dr. Thomas Campbell Bourland, a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. The office treats a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth, and facial regions, offering a full scope of care that includes dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, tooth extractions, corrective jaw surgery, oral pathology, and the diagnosis and treatment of facial pain and injuries. Patients can come in through a referral from their family dentist or on their own, and the practice emphasizes comprehensive, compassionate care delivered in one location.
For patients considering dental implants, the practice places tiny titanium posts into the jawbone where teeth are missing, and the bone bonds with the titanium to create a strong foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. Beyond standard implant placement, the office offers zygomatic implants, bar attachment dentures, and bone grafting procedures such as sinus lifts, ridge augmentation, and socket preservation to rebuild bone where it has deteriorated. Comfort is a priority, with staff trained to assist with intravenous sedation, continuous monitoring during and after surgery, and general anesthesia provided by a board certified anesthesiologist available within the facility.
