I am so grateful for the excellent service I received at Zak Dental in Downey. The team was kind, professional, and very attentive throughout my visit. I came in with a very bad cavity, and they took the time to carefully treat it and do their very best to help me avoid needing a root canal.
I truly appreciate the care, patience, and effort they put into making sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. I am very hopeful that because of their thorough work, I will not have to go through a root canal. Thank you, Zak Dental, for your compassion, professionalism, and excellent dental care!

Dr. Peepers is an outstanding Dentist. Her bedside manner is top notch. This organization is truly lucky to have someone like her as part of their team. She explained the procedure thoroughly and listened to my concerns and questions which I truly appreciated. In addition, the entire staff beginning with the front desk, technicians, medical assistants and the 2 other dentists I visited with were all superb and professional. I will refer any/all family and friends to this place.

I was initially seen in January 2026 and was referred to the Long Beach location, as that is where the endodontist practices. My appointment was rescheduled three times before I was finally seen in April, when my treatment was completed.
I recommend carefully reviewing your itemized bill, which is provided via telehealth prior to treatment. Full payment is required before care, and you should be prepared for some services not to be covered by insurance. I asked the doctor whether certain procedures I had paid for were necessary, and he indicated they were likely not. After my treatment, I inquired about another service I had been charged for and learned it had not been performed.
That said, the managers at both the Downey and Long Beach locations were very responsive, and I did receive a refund. My advice is to always verify that all services you paid for were actually completed. It may also be necessary to notify my insurance provider.

This place charges you just to make an appointment -- $90 for a basic cleaning. I came in today and dealt with rude attitudes and disrespect from almost every staff member I encountered, except the one who did my X-rays. The dentist couldn't even bother showing up in person and only did FaceTime, and they still charge you a "$90 refundable" fee upfront for a basic cleaning appointment. Whether they actually refund you seems to depend on their mercy. Nobody explained anything properly, plus there's barely ever a dentist physically in this office. Before this visit, the dentist refused to take care of my fallen crown only because it was done at another place. It honestly felt like they were more focused on squeezing every bit of money out of patients than actually helping them.
This place has gone completely downhill since my last visit before 2020. The service is terrible, the communication is awful, and it feels like profit matters more than patient care. Please never go to this place if you want better service.

Omg, Zak dental is the best! Great customer care and great Doctors, if your looking for the best you need to check out zak dental. I kid you not they are very good. I am so happy to find them.
